Mark Baker, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Baker is the owner of Covina Hills Sports Medicine and a dedicated leader in the field of physical therapy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from California State University, Long Beach in 1987, and later completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University in 2004. Dr. Baker is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Dr. Baker is involved with the Performing Arts Special Interest Group within the Orthopedic Section of the APTA. He currently serves as the company physical therapist for the Inland Pacific Ballet. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Baker is a credentialed clinical instructor and has taught extensively on advanced back rehabilitation techniques across the country. He also contributes to the academic community as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University.

Cassandra Wigboldy, PT, DPT

Cassandra Wigboldy is a licensed physical therapist and active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University (SDSU) and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University (APU). Cassie demonstrates a passion for helping athletes recover and achieve peak performance, by integrating evidence-based treatment methods into her practice and tailoring care to each individual's unique needs and goals. Her doctorate capstone focused on the effects of scapulothoracic muscle strengthening on medial elbow pain in overhead athletes. In addition to her clinical work, Cassie serves as an adjunct instructor at Azusa Pacific University, where she teaches Anatomy and Physiology, sharing her knowledge and experience with future healthcare professionals. Outside of her professional life, Cassie and her husband enjoy an active lifestyle. Her hobbies include running, weight training, snowboarding, and wakeboarding, all of which reflect her commitment to maintaining personal fitness and understanding the athletic experience. She also volunteers with her therapy dog, using their skills and compassion to give back to the community. With a deep understanding of both the physical and psychological aspects of athletic recovery, Cassandra strives to empower her patients to achieve lasting health and performance outcomes.

Stephen Chow, PT, DPT, CSCS

Stephen Chow is a Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate from Chapman University and holds a Master's degree in Music, specializing in Clarinet Performance, from the University of Michigan. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), underscoring his expertise in strength training, performance enhancement, and athletic conditioning. Stephen has a deep passion for biomechanics, which informs his approach to both physical therapy and strength training. He is dedicated to helping individuals optimize movement patterns, enhance performance, and recover from injuries through a biomechanical lens. This scientific understanding allows him to develop highly effective rehabilitation and training programs tailored to each individual's needs. A committed weightlifting enthusiast, Stephen specializes in powerlifting and calisthenics, and integrates his athletic experience with his professional knowledge to prioritize strength, mobility, and injury prevention. Outside of his professional and athletic pursuits, Stephen enjoys reading, hiking, and performing as a clarinetist in his orchestra.

Erin Bond, PT, DPT

Dr. Bond earned both her Bachelor's degree in liberal studies (2010) and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2013) from Azusa Pacific University (APU). Her dissertation at APU focused on low back pain and the assessment of core stability, which influences her approach to patient care. She has worked with a wide range of patients, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to patients navigating chronic pain or post-surgical rehabilitation. Dr. Bond specializes in performance enhancement and rehabilitation with a passion for helping athletes return to sport and guiding patients toward a full and active life. As a former softball player at APU, Dr. Bond combines her athletic experience with her expertise in physical therapy to provide comprehensive care through education, hands-on support, and personalized treatment plans. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with her husband and four children, going on family adventures and staying active together.

Kevin Lavertu, PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. Lavertu grew up in Rancho Cucamonga and earned his Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University with a degree in hospitality. After several years in the restaurant industry, his passion for human wellness, biology, and exercise led him to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2024. Since graduating, Kevin obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, allowing him to further integrate strength gaining principles into patient rehabilitation and recovery. He is dedicated to getting patients back to what they enjoy doing in life through movement based therapy, personalized treatment plans, and patient education. In his free time, Kevin enjoys watching and playing soccer, exercising, cooking, trying new foods with his wife and spoiling his cats Frankie and Finney.
